Global media streaming service Netflix has partnered with the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC to launch the inaugural year of the Smithsonian African-American Film Festival, featuring the new Netflix original presentation "QUINCY" - a documentary based on the life, times, and 70-year long career of musician, composer, & and film & TV producer Quincy Jones. The vehicle was created under the helm and co-direction of Jones's daughter Rashida- a Hollywood actress and documentary producer who wanted to show sides to father beyond the decades of accomplishment and dig deeper into the heart and core of the man behind the legend.  In addition to opening the Smithsonian's inaugural film festival, the documentary premiered this week in Canada at the world famous Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) and will debut globally on the small screen via Netflix this September 21st.  Check out the film trailer below and check your Netflix program listing for further streaming information:
