-New Urban Happening- R Kelly's King of R&B Music Tour: After 10 New Counts of Criminal Sexual Abuse & 2 Arrests, Will the Troubled Singer Manage to Perform in Germany Next Month?

After being acquitted of indictments for 14 counts of child pornography charges in 2009, several weeks ago a 42-minute pornographic tape showing a man believed to be R Kelly performing lewd sexual acts with a girl who describes herself as 14 years surfaced, and was turned over to Chicago court authorities, adding to the mounting public scrutiny of the embattled R&B star.
Kelly turned himself over for arrest and was released on $1 million in bail (financed by a devoted fan) on February 25th. In an effort to bring his side of the story to the public in an interview with CBS's Gayle King, the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer gave an impassioned, if not erratic interview pleading his innocence - despite mounting evidence and witnesses that corroborate claims of his physical and sexual abuse against women and pubescent girls for three decades. Kelly is due to appear in Germany next month for a series of concert dates, leaving many of his fans and ticket holders to wonder if he'll actually make it for his "King of R&B" tour. To date, R. Kelly is scheduled to appear Sindelfingen, Neu-Ulm, Ludwigsburg & Hamburg, with two of the dates being sold out.
Here, readers can review a basic timeline of events to get a clearer understanding of just how dire Kelly's situation is looking, and why they might want to think twice about buying tickets, or whether they should investigate if it's possible to get a refund for whatever tickets they've already purchased. We begin with a look back to the documentary that brought this story to light for the masses, Lifetime Television's "Surviving R. Kelly", followed by news coverage bringing us to where he stands now:
