-New Urban YUM- Bring American Sports Bar Favorites Home with These Inspired, Easy Appetizers for Your Next World Cup Party

The way pulled pork was meant to be eaten: in lieu of the usual burgers or sausages that make for traditional sports food, kick your party menu up a notch with Pulled Pork Sandwiches at your next party.  This southern sandwich from the US is easily duplicated with the grocer prepared pulled pork roasts now readily available at every German supermarket chain. We like to toss our pulled pork in whatever BBQ sauce we're excited about at any given moment.

Germany is about to hit a fever pitch for the next World Cup match and chances are, we'all be glued to the television as soon as it airs.  If you're planning a get together with friends and want to do a yummy spread (without putting too much prep into it); we've prepared a semi-homemade "sports bar food" idea guide that can complement any self-serve table buffet without much heavy prep.  Add or subtract beverages, nuts, chips, dips, and a couple of store-bought side salads as per your preference, and you've got yourself a World Cup feast fit for the ones you love. Inspired by a menu item from The California Kitchen Restaurant franchise, one of our favorite Chicken Pizza recipes comes from the site NUTMEG NANNY. Shave precious time off of meal prep for their delicious ROASTED GARLIC CHICKEN PIZZA with defrosted, ready-roasted Chicken Breast Filets from VOSSKO brand, available at PENNY and REWE, and any pre-made pizza crust of your choice.  We prefer to pre-bake our crusts for 5-6 minutes before topping, to ensure the dough remains firm underneath.

Because who doesn't love a chicken wing on a sports night? With these 3 easy sauces paired with "fix und fertig" wings, making restaurant-style, sports bar chicken with minimum stress is a snap. Simply blend your sauce as per the ingredient list, pour over 500-750g of wings. Toss to coat, and bake wings normally as per package directions.  Too easy, and too yummy! We use Ja! brand wings from REWE because they are mildly seasoned and have a good amount of coating that is receptive to an additional sauce.

A versatile vegetarian appetizer that also works well with side dishes or simply easily stands alone. Vegetarian Quesadillas utilize canned corn and black beans with the tortilla wrap bread of your choice; while our favorite recipe from iFOODREAL calls for  20 minutes in the oven, sometimes we prepare ours on the stovetop in a pan to save a little prep time. To re-warm, all they need is 30 seconds in the microwave. Be sure to rinse your beans to ensure you don't end up with soggy wraps-

Manly Man Food for hearty game appetites: with a package of pulled pork, moist milch brcötchen, fresh-packaged PENNY slaw, and a bottle of BBQ  sauce, we've tweaked the longer version of our favorite PULLED PORK SLIDER recipe from INSPIRED BY CHARM - to save you less time in the kitchen and more time to watch the game with friends. See the original recipe for a template of general instructions: HERE.

And that concludes this week's NUY 40+ YUM! Let's see if we make it to the next round of the Cup! Til then...
