-New Urban Sounds- What to Listen to Now: Warm, Sultry Jazz from Laurin Talese

 Outside of classic holiday tunes to make you feel warm,  there's no better way to spend cozy times in chilly months than listening to the comforting, soothing sounds of jazz. With that, enter the NUY 40+ music pick for the week featuring jazz vocalist Vocalist Laurin Talese , a Cleveland native based in Philadelphia - who's worked with German superstar Joy Denalane, and numerous American  recording artists including Bilal, Vivian Green, and jazz pianist Robert Glasper. 

Talese's latest song and official video is the loverly "Tick Tock",  reflection on romance that follows the chanteuse on a casual stroll through cinematic scenes of street life in London and Paris . The clip, directed by WFRSON, follows the 2016 release of the singer's debut album Gorgeous Chaos and her cover of Bilal's 2001 single "Love Poems."
