AT AGE 92, CICELY TYSON BECOMES ELLE MAGAZINE'S NOVEMBER COVERGIRL

Legendary actress Cicely Tyson made headlines this week as a November covergirl for the US edition of Elle Magazine, as part of its' "Women in Hollywood" series. The sprightly 92 year-old's cover is featured along with 6 alternative covers that hit news stands featuring the 1973 Oscar winning Best Actress , and additional female voices in Hollywood including Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain Laura Dern, and Kathleen Kennedy. Outside of the recent NY attacks in lower Manhattan last week, one of the biggest stories in national American media was the absolutely disturbing news of University of Hartford student, Brianna Brochu; a young woman taking to social media to brag about hate crimes she committed toward her college room mate, Channel "Jazzy" Rowe.  NBC Connecticut reports that student is now facing criminal charges after gloating on social media about poisoning her roommate until she was forced to move,  covertly using extreme measures involving bodily fluids to contaminate and/or poison Rowe's personal belongings, the point of making Rowe ill with repeated visits to the doctor.  After initially attempting to force Rowe to sign a document stating that she would not speak of Brochu's heinous events publicly, Rowe took her story directly to social media and gained over 4 million views. University officials have since released a statement that Brianna Brochu has been expelled, that they find the events that transpired "deeply upsetting" , and that Brochu's criminal behavior is "reprehensible and does not reflect the values" of University of Hartford.

SEAN "PUFFY /PUFF DADDY /P.DIDDY/ DIDDY" COMBS BECOMES SOMEBODY ELSE, AGAIN...

He's done it so many times we've lost track, but apparently Sean Puffy...P- Diddly Doo Wop- we're Not Sure How Many Monikers He's Had in the Last 30 Years took to Instagram this weekend to let us all know that he is no longer going by his previous monikers: after considerable prayer, the 48 year-old music mogul (and co-owner of CIROC vodka) is now only answering to "Brother Love". In the larger scheme of things going on in the world, this is hardly a stop the presses occasion but we thank Puff- er, um, Sean for the moment of brevity in what has otherwise been a tough news week in the States.
