-New Urban TALK- Tyler Perry Stops by the Stephen Colbert Show to Talk Family, Faith, and Playing Colin Powell on the Big Screen


Yesterday multi-hyphenate showbiz whiz kid Tyler Perry stopped by CBS's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to chat about family, film projects, and his latest book entitled  "Higher Is Waiting", published by Spiegel & Grau.

The writer, actor, playwright & film maker culled together a collection of experiences from the highs and lows of his life with an aim to inspire others, sharing how God has enriched him with sustaining faith through good times and bad.

Perry also took a few moments to discuss his upcoming role playing General Colin Powell in a biopic about former Vice-President Dick Cheney, directed by Adam McKay (previously known for the comedies "Anchorman" and "Step Brothers") and produced by Brad Pitt.  The film is currently in production and will star popular Hollywood actors Christian Bale (as Vice-President Cheney), Steve Carrell (as Donald Rumsfeld), and Academy Award nominee Amy Adams.
