New Urban Talk- The Man Behind the Mask: Meet Star of Marvel's Worldwide Movie Phenomenon, "Black Panther" , Chadwick Boseman
Chadwick Boseman is an American actor previously known for his portrayals of baseball legend Jackie Robinson in '42' and James Brown in 'Get on Up.' He stars in the Netflix biopic on the early career of America's first black Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, entitled "Marshall", and is now the man behind the mask of Marvel's (and America's) first black superhero, brought to us via The Avengers franchise, 'Black Panther'.
Born in 1977 in South Carolina, Boseman attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing. He then attended the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England. In addition to playing historical figures onscreen, the soft-spoken actor has had an extensive career in theatre, and drops by "The View" to discuss what it's like to be part of one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the last 12 months.
