"Black Panther" & Academy-Award-nominated "What's Love Got to Do With It" star Angela Bassett has joined Tom Cruise in Paramount’s “Mission: Impossible 6 -FALLOUT” as Erica Sloane, the new director of America's Central Intelligence Agency. Tasked with keeping tabs on Cruise's character Ethan Hunt, agent Sloane is overseeing Hunt's mission to recapture stolen plutonium cores that are being used to build portable nuclear weapons by a terror organization. With Erica Sloane's arrival, she enlists an assassin from the CIA's Special Activities Division to monitor Ethan Hunt and his team of spies in the sequel now being hailed as the best installment in the Mission Impossible action series to date. Filming of Mission: Impossible - FALLOUT began April 2017 in France and debuted its world premiere in Paris July 12th, 2018. The film debuts in the US today (July 27th), and will hit German theaters on Wednesday, July 31st.
