-New Urban POD SPOT- News and Pop Culture from "On 1, With Angela Rye"

With podcasts being the new wave of media that has broadened the landscape of radio technology for listeners around the world, NUY 40+  is introducing a new category to the blog called "NEW URBAN POD-SPOT", a spotlight on podcast shows by African Americans, people of color,  and minority voices who offer unique perspective on issues of the day.  The podcasts come via NUY 40+s own library of digital radio shows and discuss topics ranging from popular culture, to business, spirituality, and current world events from a minority point of view.  Today's introductory podcast spotlight (aka POD-SPOT) features African American attorney, political strategist, and media commentator Angela Rye, and her podcast show, "On 1, With Angela Rye". 

Angela Rye is a Political Commentator and National Public Radio Political Analyst  featured as an influential politico & legal analyst in publications ranging from Marie Claire to The Washington Post.  She is a prominent US political strategist who has offered on-air commentary for media outlets including Black Entertainment Television, CNN, NBC, HBO, ABC, MSNBC and TV One. The depth of her insight and commentary ranges from American political campaign strategy, to complex US legislation and administration policies that have long-term implications nationally and internationally. Aside from her work as a Media Commentator, Angela Rye is Principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, a political advocacy firm in the Washington DC.

*Sidenote update to this podcast entry*  As of the publishing of this blog post, it has been announced that Omarosa Maginault-Newman, White House Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liason, has been released from her position by the current US Commander-In-Chief.
