New Urban HEALTH- Quick&Fit Workout Review: Whittle Your Waist for a Stronger Back with Tiffany Rothe Workouts!
Tiffany Rothe's short cardio boxing routine packs a powerful punch and strengthens tummy muscles |
After a bit of a break recovering from a recent (but extraordinarily long) "flu pause", today NUY 40+ HEALTH turns the spotlight on a sub-series we began as part of our HEALTH posts at the top of the year, QUICK&FIT. Growing older and seeing some of the changes of the changes taking place in our bodies, we're exploring fast, fun, and effective workouts in an effort to inspire ourselves, and others, to embrace moderate physical exercise habits - as a way to enrich our overall health and lifestyle.
NEW URBAN HEALTH Quick&Fit seeks out the best workout videos available online, and tests them with the unique needs of our readers in mind (such as the need for low-impact movement that is kinder and gentler to our aging joints!) Today, we present a review of a 10-minute workout from popular fitness coach and YouTube fitness influencer Tiffany Rothe, as she helps us whittle our waist the natural way, through a little bit of sweat, and a whole lot of cardio boxing movement.
As per her bio: "...known an innovative fitness expert for over 20 years, Tiffany Rothe’s passion for creative movement has taken her through jazz, modern dance, ballet, the aerobics craze, spinning, boxing, martial arts, weightlifting and has culminated in her unique style of fitness known by millions as “Tiffany Rothe Workouts”. Her “10 Minute Workout Technique” has helped millions of people get in shape and feel great".
SO FOR TODAY'S QUICK&FIT REVIEW: ORANGE is the New FIT "FIGHT THE FAT BOXING WORKOUT" with Tiffany Rothe
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: INTERMEDIATE (more intensive and best for those who already exercise at a moderate, but consistent level of 2 times per week minimum. If you'd like a review of a lighter exercise routine, see our BEGINNERS Quick&Fit review HERE)
AEROBIC IMPACT LEVEL: Low (as long you make sure you follow form and turn your feet correctly when punching and jabbing, we found this intensive workout is kind to your ankles)
INSTRUCTOR RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ /5
Rothe maintains a clear, no-nonsense, but encouraging tone that makes you want to get the job done!
HOW WE FELT POST-WORKOUT: With a hearty increase in heart rate and a fair amount of perspiration, we instantly felt the pull in our core/stomach area- important in strengthening our tummy muscles to help improve posture and pressure on our back muscles. We'd like to note that on days that were otherwise trying or hectic, we also felt the benefit of the boxing movement promote feelings of stress relief.
LIKELY BEST SUITED FOR: Those looking to aggressively tone their tummies while on the journey to shed just a few extra pounds. Rothe's work-out partners include a variety of body types from slim & athletic to extra-meaty to act as a visual assist - to help you modify the movement best suit yourself.
WE PAIRED THIS WORKOUT WITH: "Dancing Off The Inches- Fat Burning Jam, PT.1" which has great stretching moves to get you warmed up.
OVERALL RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 /5
We're subtracting 1/2 solely on a personal preference: there is a short segment of the video that uses techno music as the underscore, and we find it slightly distracting. But otherwise, this is an inspiring, effective way to work out.
