Widely regarded as the Godmother of Soul, at age 73 singer Patti Labelle is showing no signs of slowing down as she returns to acting this year by guest-starring on the hit FOX musical tv drama, "STAR". Yesterday the showbiz legend stopped by Sirius satellite radio for an extended interview on morning radio show, "Sway in the Morning" - to chat about her new tv project and upcoming gospel project with rapper Snoop Dog, and shares funny showbiz anecdotes about topics ranging from her the rivalries at early-day Motown, Woolworth stage dresses, standing up for herself (and her big voice) in the music industry, and funny stories behind one of her biggest hits (with singer Michael McDonald) "On My Own". The legend also reflects on today's #MeToo movement and recalls a little-known story of her own brush with a sexual abuse attempt from a famous 1960s soul crooner as a young girl.
