CÉLINE SPRING 2018 |
It seems March has certainly come swiftly and is moving at breakneck speed, and although we've returned to colder days, who can forget that flush of mild German weather last week when lavender mini-tulips sprouted in the wild, and we suddenly had dreams of flowers, fields, and the joys of spring? Well, to feed our fantasies of warmer days sure to come, we can look directly to the runways to scope out a major color trend underway for spring and summer: ice cream colored pastels. Comparable to the hues of art deco pastels, when warm weather hits, we can expect to see a soft serve flurry of light ice cream colors that evoke visions of Italian gelato cafes and art deco seaside architecture in places like Miami or Venice Beach, California. From casual separates to formal wear- lavender, pale pinks, limoncello, creamy pistachios and summer sky blues will offer a cool, refreshing alternative to darker wardrobe colors for spring/summer 2018. Check out our curation of ice cream color catwalk looks below to inspire dreams of gelato and art deco pastel days on the way.
