Well....unless you've been under a rock for the last week, you've likely heard that the world is aflutter with  he happy news up upcoming nuptials of Britain's own Prince Harry to American TV actress Meghan Markle of Los Angeles, California! 💒

Born and raised in Los Angeles, the 36 year old star of the hit legal drama "Suits" is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she majored in theatre and international studies. Markle is the daughter of an African-American mother, Doria Ragland, a psychotherapist and yoga instructor and  Thomas Markle, a white American (and Emmy-award winning) lighting director who resides in Mexico.  In addition to Suits, Ms. Markle has previously guest starred on the shows Century City and CSI:NY, and appeared in the films, "Get Him to the Greek", "Remember Me" (both in 2010), and "Horrible Bosses" (2011). Additionally, the actress was the founder and editor-in chief of one of our favorite lifestyle blogs, THE TIG, which shuttered it's online doors this past April.

Outside of career pursuits in Hollywood, Meghan Markle has previously worked on behalf of humanitarian and philanthropic causes for World Vision Canada to provide clean water for African nations, and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. As of the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry this week,  she has announced that she is now transitioning out of her career as an actress, and will focus her life's work on humanitarian causes.
